Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has been elected new Chief Minister of Balochistan unopposed.
No other candidate filed nomination papers for the slot today till 2:00pm hence Malik was elected as the CM unapposed.
JUI-F which had nominated Abdul Rehman Khetran as its candidate for the slot but after talks it decided to not field him and supported Dr. Abdul Malik.
While talking with media after being elected the CM, Malik said that he would try to resolve all issues of the province.
He said that he will take all parties with the government for elimination of the problems.
Malik said that his government would try hard to promote education.
He also said that the new government will talk to the angry Baloch leaders and make efforts to get the missing people back.

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Saturday decided in principal to sit on treasury benches in the National Assembly.
According to Rehman’s spokesman Jan Achakzai, the JUI-F decided to join the federal government after Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Prime Minister Mian Nawz Sharif principally agreed on priorities.
Rehman explained his party’s priorities in written with the prime minister, he said.
Sources say that two leaders exchanged views on restoration of law and order and energy, and economic crises.
PM Sharif thanked Maulana Fazlur Rehman for supporting Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik.
The new federal cabinet has taken oath at the President House on Friday.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif gave approval to a 25-member cabinet.
According to report‚ the cabinet is comprising sixteen Ministers and nine Ministers of state.

A mafia has taken over PTI: Fouzia
Disgruntled PTI leader Fauzia Kasuri on Wednesday announced her decision to leave the party.
“I am announcing with heavy heart that I am leaving Tehreek-e-Insaf,” she said while addressing a news conference here.
Kasuri, who was a founding memebr of the PTI, alleged: “A mafia has taken over the party due to which thousands of workers are disappointed.”
But she thanked Imran Khan for providing her a platform to do philanthropist and political work across the country.
Earlier, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan met Kasuri at her residence and offered her the post of adviser to PTI chairman. She advised Kasuri not to make any hasty decision about her political career.
Kasuri was dejected for not being among those who made it to the Parliament on reserved women seats.

Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif takes oath at President’s House, makes history by becoming PM for third time.
PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif Wednesday took oath as prime minister of Pakistan in a ceremony at the President’s House.
President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to the new prime minister.
The ceremony was attended by the leaders of political parties, army chief, ex-PMs Yousaf Raza Gillani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, family members of Mian Nawaz Sharif and foreign dignitaries.
Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has taken oath as 27th prime minister of the country.
Earlier‚ the National Assembly had elected PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif as Leader of the House by a two-third majority.
He got 244 votes while his opponents Makhdoom Amin Fahim of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians bagged 42 votes and Makhdoom Javed Hashmi of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf secured 31 votes.
It is the first time in the history of the country that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been elected for the slot of Prime Minister for the third time.
President Zardari congratulated the new PM and wished him good luck.
Newly elected members of the National Assembly were sworn in today (Saturday), officially marking the first transition of power between democratically elected civilian governments in the 66-year history of the coup-prone country. Outgoing Speaker Fehmida Mirza administered the oath to them.
Earlier‚ national anthem was played at the outset of the proceedings and the Speaker welcomed the members and congratulated them on their successful election.
The NA session comes weeks after the Pakistan Muslim League-N party of Nawaz Sharif won 176 seats in the 342-member lower house of Parliament.
Nawaz Sharif, who is expected to be the next prime minister, and his party face numerous challenges, including massive energy shortages, a badly ailing economy and ongoing militancy.
The previous ruling Pakistan People`s Party was crushed, earning just 39 seats.
Imran Khan`s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 35 seats, and has pledged to act as a strong opposition. Khan, who fractured three vertebrae and a rib when he fell 4.5 meters (15 feet) off a forklift in the last few days of the campaign, was unable to attend Saturday s session.
On the other hand, nomination papers for speaker and deputy speaker the National Assembly will be submitted to the NA secretary by 12 noon on Sunday and the election will be held through a secret ballot on Monday.
The House will also elect Leader of the House on Wednesday through division. The new Prime Minister is expected to take oath of his office the same day.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Qaim Ali Shah has been elected as Chief Minister of Sindh.
Shah secured 86 votes and has been now on the post of CM for the third time.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate for CM slot Syed Sardar Ahmed bagged 48 votes and remained second while Imtiaz Sheikh of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) secured 18 votes.
PPP leaders Agha Siraj Durrani and Shehla Raza were elected as the speaker and deputy speaker of the Sindh Assembly with an overwhelming majority.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had defeated PTI chief Imran Khan from NA-122
The leadership of PML-N has decided to elect MNA-elect Sardar Ayaz Sadiq as Speaker National Assembly.
It is worth mentioning here that senior anchorperson of Dunya News Muhammad Malick had disclosed the news of this expected decision of PML-N in his programme ‘Dunya @ 8 with Malick’ on Thursday.
Ayaz Sadiq got elected to the National Assembly for the third time on PML-N ticket.

Governor Shaukatullah Khan administered the oath to newly elected CM Pervez Khattak
The new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak took oath of his office in Peshawar on Friday evening.
Sirajul Haq and Sikandar Sherpao also took oath of their offices as senior provincial ministers.
Earlier‚ Pervez Khattak of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was elected new Chief Minister of the province.
Parvez Khattak who was a joint candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allied parties bagged 84 votes. Lutfur Rehman of JUI-F secured 37 votes.
Wajihuz Zaman of PML-N withdrew his candidature in favour of JUI-F candidate just before the division of the house.
Speaking in the House PML-N Parliamentary leader Sardar Mehtab Abbasi congratulated Pervez Khattak on his election as new Chief Minister of the province and said this will strengthen democracy.
He said PML-N fully respected the mandate of the majority party and provided it an opportunity to form new government in the province.

The law ministry has forwarded a summary to President Asif Ali Zardari to convene the first session of National Assembly on 1st June, SAMAA reports Sunday.
According to sources, the election of Speaker of National Assembly has been proposed to be held on June 4.
It has suggested the election of Prime Minister on June 5
Maiden meeting of MQM’s Rabita Committee (coordination committee) is going to be held today (Monday) simultaneously in London and Karachi, a day after its formation, SAMAA reported.
The meeting will reportedly review MQM’s joining of PPP-led Sindh government, besides other issues.
MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain announced on Sunday names of party leaders inducted in the 23-member Rabita Committee.
The body was dissolved on Thursday, a day after expulsion of few local party leaders over violation of party discipline.
On Sunday, Altaf Hussain, announced appointment of Dr. Nusrat, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Nasir Jamal as deputy convener of the RC.
Adil Khan, Khalid Sultan, Amir Khan, Aslam Afridi, Mian Atiq, Yousuf Shahwani, Nisar Panhwar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Nasrin Jalil, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Wasay Jalil, Kunwar Naveed Jamil, and Mumtaz Anwar have been included as members in the new committee.
Hussain also announced that Nadeem Nusrat, who is present in London, will also be the Deputy Convener, while Mustafa Azizabadi, Tariq Mir, Muhammad Ashfaq, Tariq Javed, Muhammad Anwer and Qasim Ali Raza will be members of the Co-ordination Committee in London.
The Interim Coordination Committee of MQM has suspended membership of ex-MNA Shamim Siddiqui and London based worker Mohammad Ahsan after complaints regarding violation of party discipline.
The committee said MQM won’t bear responsibility of any deal if done with Shamim Siddiqui and Mohammad Ahsan
After emerging as leading political party in general election, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Sunday got simple majority in the lower house of the Parliament after induction of 18 independent candidates.
The PML-N won 126 National Assembly seats in May 11 polls, while 18 independent candidates later announced to join the party, taking the number of seats to 144.
With 37 potential reserved seats for women and minorities, the party’s total strength in the National Assembly reached 181
For simple majority in the National Assembly, the PML-N needed only 172 seats in 342-member House.
PML-N is also enjoying support of five members-elect of Functional League, three of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, two members of the National People’s Party (NPP) and one of the National Party.
Currently, PML-N is leading the lower house with around 192 members with the help of its allied parties followed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) with a total of 32 general seats and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stands at third with a total of 28 general seats.
Meanwhile, the PML-N has formally nominated Nawaz Sharif for prime minister’s slot. The final approval of the nomination will be made during a party meeting before the start of the National Assembly session.

He appreciated Nawaz Sharif for his policy of reconciliation and hoped it will lead to address the problems of the country.
On a question regarding support to PML-N for Prime Ministerhip‚ President Zardari said he has nothing to do with the politics and it is the job of Makhdoom Amin being Party President to take any decision. However‚ he said that he considers Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister even now.
Later, talking to media after a meeting with President Zardari, Nawaz Sharif said the policy of reconciliation initiated by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto will continue to jointly steer the country out of crisis.
He said that we will forget past bitterness and will move forward to resolve the problems being faced by the people and the country.
MNAs victorious from Fata that have joined PML-N include, Shadi Gul, Sajid Touri, Ghazi Ghulab Jamal, Bilal Rehman and Nazir Khan.
According to sources the above mentioned MANs-elect met PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad the other day and expressed their willingness to join PML-N.
PML-N emerged as a winner in May 11 elections, managing to secure around 124 seats in the centre.
Earlier on Sunday, PML-N has attained a majority in Pakistan s National Assembly after 18 independent candidates joined the party, placing it in a position to form government at the centre without striking an alliance with any other party.
Several independent candidates belonging to influential political families of Punjab and Sindh provinces are among those who have joined the PML-N, which emerged the single largest party in the May 11 general election.
Independents from Fata play an important role in formation of government in the Centre.
The main consideration before these MPs has been the development of their areas, but keeping in view the security situation in Fata, these members can play an important role in policy making.

Responding to the call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI), hundreds of demonstrators lodged their protest against Muttahida Qaumi Movment (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain’s telephonic speeches in Pakistan.
As many as 1500 PTI and JI supports and other demonstrators gathered at 10 Downing Street in London to lodge protest against MQM chief Altaf Hussain. The PTI protesters claimed that Altaf Hussain had threatened its anti vote rigging demonstrators in Karachi with dire consequences during a telephonic speech.
The participants of the demonstration demanded of the British government to put a curb on any interference by any kind of group or organization from Britain into the politics of Pakistan and provocation of the latter’s people.
Meanwhile, the London Police earlier rejected arresting activists of a Pakistan-based political party here.
According to sources, the London police came up with this clarification in the wake of a news item claiming the arrests that went viral on the social media.
The Metropolitan Police in a statement issued here termed such reports as groundless fabrications.
New Scotland Yard also said that they had received a myriad of individual complaints against a political personality belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), which they were looking into closely.
