NA 54 Rawalpindi Party Position for 2013 Elections:
Zamurad Khan Advocate is currently acting as Chairman Bait Ul Maal and is working hard in his constituency to get more stronger roots in the masses. He will be a major political force in NA 54.

PML-N is very active in Rawalpindi Cant region and Malik Abrar and other provincial members of PML-N are working hard in the constituency. PML-N is quite active and is very much in a position to have a neck to neck contest against Zamurad Khan.

PTI has also got a good public support especially among youth and has emerged as third option for the voters. PTI hasn’t yet finalized its candidate from NA 54. Shahid Gilani and Zahid Hussain Kazmi are the two potential candidates of PTI from NA 54. Shahid Gilani is a well popular politician who contested provincial assembly ticket in 2002 when he was in Jamat e Islami and was able to get about 7 thousand votes.

Basharat Raja of PML-Q is also a political force of NA 54. However, it seems that he will have to sacrifice as PPP and PML-Q are already in agreement to have joint candidates. As per this deal, PML-Q will have to support PPP candidate for all those constituencies where PPP is winner in 2008 elections.

Jamat e Islami has also announced Rizwan Ahmad as its candidate for NA 54 Rawalpindi and he has already started his election campaign. However, if PML-N and JI agree for any seat adjustment, chances are that JI candidate will back off in favor of PML-N candidate from NA 54 Rawalpindi.
